3. There are no mistakes, only lessons

Mistakes are inevitable part of life.  After all, growth is a process of error and experimentation.  The failures and failed experiments are part of the process that eventually works.

4. A lesson is repeated until it is learned

A lesson will be shown in various forms until you have finally learned it.  Then you can move on to the next lesson.

5. Learning lessons doesn’t end

Every part of life contains its lessons!  There are lessons to be learned as long as you are alive.  This process of learning doesn’t end.

6. “There” is no better than “here”

Once your “there” has become a “here”, you will obtain another “there” that again, looks better than “here”.

7. Others are merely mirrors of you

You can`t hate or love something about other person unless it reflects to you something you like or dislike about yourself.

8. What you make of your life is up to you

What you make of your life depends on you only!   You have all the resources and tools needed, and how you use them is up to you. The choice is only yours.

9. The answers lie inside you

All of the answers regarding life and its purpose lie inside you. All you have to do is to look within, listen, and trust.

Some of these lessons are centered about having no ego and being open to learning new things and experiencing new adventures. They are quite similar to those underpinning Eastern religion like Buddhism. The fact that they have survived the test of time suggests that they do have value.
